How does cellulite form?

As fat cells increase, they push up against the skin. Tough, long connective cords pull down. This creates an uneven surface or dimpling, often referred to as cellulite. Cellulite is a very common, harmless skin condition that causes lumpy, dimpled flesh on the thighs, hips, buttocks and abdomen

The lymphatic system

Encouraging lymph to flow towards regional nodes is key to the effectiveness of Vari-Pad technology.

Lymph flows back from the periphery, against gravity, towards regional lymph nodes (glands) along known anatomical pathways.

Mapping these pathways, higher Vari-Pads push lymph towards lower and lower still pads to encourage directional flow into the regional nodes and thereafter, to join the blood back to the heart.

Simultaneously, the pads, in conjunction with the apparel’s compressive element are demonstrated to improve the skin’s micro-vascular flow.

Graduated compression apparels, with Vari-Pads, result in further effect over simple compression apparels.
